Today we had a very busy day traveling to a breeder who was about an hours drive. We found a very good mix from the breeder Takahashi.He has good quality plus he had just emptied his mudponds of two year olds.We brought two boxes here and then back on the motorway to Ojiya where Suda B breeder was.Again his koi was top class quality of metalic doitsu kokoryu’s plus a koromo. Then onto the Goromo breeder Takano ,not easy to see and catch his koi here as the water seemed cloudy.We brought some very good Ai Goromo and Budo Goromo plus one Tategoi Goshiki. Last breeder we visited was Iwishita who is high up in the hills with stunning views of the valley below with many mudponds.Some empty of there koi and drained down ready for the winter but many more has koi swimming about and feeding from around the edges of there summer pools.

Busy day looking for koi at many breeders. Not able to find anything to suit customers orders.
We hope to travel out tomorrow to a breeder who is an hour away from our hotel base ,we hope to find some better priced koi tomorrow to fit budgets.Sorry but only picture of our journey around the hills. Most of the morning was damp but dried out a little in the afternoon.

Busy day traveling around many breeders today ,lots of heavy showers making koi selecting difficult outside.Found some very nice Doitsu koi at Shinoda. Then not far away was Masaki who is slowly reducing his stock ready for retirement.The rain stopped long enough so i could net out a good selection of 7 koi from an outside pond.
